Thanks for the compliment. He's really, really pretty - I'll make sure to tell him you said so...He's an old guy - seven years...I got him from the East (now Middle) Tennessee Doberman Rescue. It is veterinarian-run and was based out of Knoxville but they recently moved here to the Nashville - Lebanon area. The rescue lady had him on Purina, but said that was only because she had so many Dobermans (it's a breed-specific rescue) that she couldn't afford to feed them any better. Currently, I've got him on Nutro Natural Lamb and Rice Small Bites dog food. He seems to really like it, but, damn if it's not expensive ($30 for the SMALL bag!!!). He's definitely eating better than I am, but I don't mind. What I fed him in the video was a Pup-per-Roni Rib treat. He REALLY likes those. Some things he's not so sure he likes in terms of food. He's not really into the "BASTED RAWHIDE CHEWFLIPS" I bought him, for example. But, all in all, he's an awesome dog. Really well-behaved and obedient. I've been amazed at how quick it took for me to totally take charge of the situation and rapidly become his "Master." He never gets into any real trouble to speak of, doesn't get on the couch, doesn't jump up on you (or visiting guests), doesn't lick you in the face or anything like that. I just wish he was more interested in toys/balls, but considering his old age, I understand. He just wants to chill out and be petted, mostly. Great dog.
You should look into feeding him raw chicken, it's actually really good for dogs and ends up being pretty cheap. Angela and I want to commission an illustration of Luther and his ribs. Could'ya?
